We chose this place for dinner because it was close to our hotel. It was honestly the worst version of Chinese food we've had. The sweet and sour chicken was soggy and was made with tomatoes. The flavor was horrid! The rice was like minute rice mixed with only broccoli. To say we were disappointed was an understatement. Oh! And they do not accept foreign credit cards. So our American credit card wasn't accepted. I had to go across the street to get cash. Needless to say we won't be back.
Very nice restaurant located close to picoas metro station. Went there for lunch today and we were surprised by the good food as well as friendly service. In addition, we really enjoyed the authentic Asian atmosphere. As we went there for lunch we didn't have to wait long for our food.
If you're staying at the Doubletree Lisbon hotel just around the corner, don't miss this spot for some familiar Chinese food. This restaurant is run by a Chinese family who are fluent in a few languages i.e. Portuguese, English and Mandarin. Because of its location on a quiet side street, it doesn't get a lot of traffic which is a shame since the food is good and so cheap. The folks who visit seem to be locals and regulars which is a good thing. I ordered take out twice to return to my hotel room to eat but I found eating there was a much better experience with proper utensils. The food I ordered were good and simple nothing fancy and typical of most Chinese staples you find in major cities. The family was always smiling and seem to appreciate your business. Their menu is in both Portuguese and English, and as found in most Chinese restaurants, the menu was several pages long with an abundance of choices. The ambience and decor is Asian with comfortable tables and booths. Since I was by myself on this trip, I turned to the back pages for the combination specials which come with a soup, a spring roll and a main dish with a side of white rice. The soup and main dishes were good but the spring roll was a disappointment. But you only pay 5 to 7 Euros for all of that. I am so glad to have found this gem that is so under appreciated for its cheap good food. The next time I'm back in Lisbon, I will make it a point to return for some affordable, satisfying Chinese food. .
The most reason I like this restaurant is that the owener is always professional and friendly to the customer. The food is fresh and good of course, you can see this place is always popular for lunch and dinner both, even for take-away too. It’s very easy to choose the menu because Chinese food in Portugal is localized like stir fried dishes. Try batter fried banana for dessert!
