Peat - Lima

We were traveling through the area and just plain hungry! We saw the reviews, so knew we had to stop. Do not let the rustic (VERY rustic) exterior and interior fool you. This is a first rate operation! Excellent service! Carly was such a delight! Trevor is the master bartender checking in with us several times. But the show is the guy on the grill. The grill is in the middle of the room. Watching him meticulously preparing the food is like watching a master in action he precisely adds grill marks to the toast, perfectly sears and seasons meats. Wow. After cooling off with a frosty Blue Moon, we ordered a ribeye and an extra plate which is an extra salad, potato and toast for $7 a good value. I had originally just planned to have a few bites of the Hubbs ' ribeye, but once I tasted it, I kept taking a little bit more! Seriously one of the best quality and flavorful steaks I 've had in a long time. The salad dressings are house made. I loved the honey mustard. Seriously worth the trip.

GET THE F OUT OF MY WAY! Shay, the owner, screamed on a busy Saturday night. Embarrassing every patron sitting at the hot bar, next to an inconveniently placed grill in the middle of the floor. She turns to the bartender Trevor, what 's good on tap? He looks at her incredulously and snears, I don 't care what you like and...I 'm not recommending anything.. The End.

A real Montana bar. Fast, friendly service; excellent steaks and burgers. Good beer selection. Friendly local folks in a western atmosphere. Highly recommend The Peat.

What a hidden gem! Enjoyed watching the chef cook our steak perfectly. Great service and atmosphere.

What an oasis! After riding 50 miles bike packing on the hot desolate dusty roads into Lima, we found ourselves without a place to stay and had resigned to camping another night. As a Hail Mary, we called up The Peat and were so excited to snag a room with them. Not only were the accommodations exactly what we needed, clean beds and clean shower, the bar and restaurant were excellent! Hands down the best steak we've ever had. Blaine was such an attentive host and brilliant cook! The vibe was inviting and energizing! This place will be a must if we ever come through Lima again. Thank you to The Peat!
