Jj's Broiler - Lihue

The best fish and chips of all time! fresh mahi mahi. yum! there were 3 BIG pieces fish, had to eat one before I made the picture.

During my time working on a cruise ship, I regularly stopped at JJJ's for meals. The food and drinks were top-notch. Little did I know, Kauai is known for its wild chickens running around the island. One day, while enjoying my chicken fingers at JJ's, a chicken seemed to recognize its relative in my meal and started causing a commotion. The host had a humorous way of dealing with the situation, even jokingly brandishing a gun at the chickens. The staff was friendly and overall it was a great dining experience.

I feel like the restaurant has undergone some changes in recent years. It appeared a bit worn out and outdated. We visited on a weeknight and it was mostly empty, allowing us to snag a table with a beach view. The burger and pulled pork were both delicious and satisfying. The waitress was friendly and attentive. My mom and I had a great dining experience. I hope the restaurant regains its popularity and that the owner updates the decor to bring back its former greatness.

As a professional real estate agent, I have found this restaurant to be the perfect spot for entertaining my clients. My husband and I enjoy going there for lunch to end the day with a delicious meal. The location is excellent and the staff is wonderful.

Great restaurant! I had the Mahi Mahi Sandwich and it tasted awesome. The battered fries complimented the sandwich well! We had a great server, unfortunately I forgot her name but she was an island local and was super informative about the entire island! And she definitely knew how to recommend drinks! Five star service hands down.
