Staff witnessed the incident and were quick to assist me in cleaning up the mess then insisted on making us another pizza at no cost (even though I tried to brush off the request due to embarrassment). Thank you! The pizza was great, the salad is always fresh, and the tomato basil soup with chicken is always spot on. The atmosphere is very family friendly and the tv is always playing scenery instead of filth.
I had never had smashing tomato before so my fiance took me to the one off of Nicholasville Road. I was skeptical because I do not eat dairy but they were very accommodating and easy to work with. The food was absolutely delicious. I ordered the spinach and kale salad, which is sadly discontinued, and it was to die for. My pizza was a custom-made with the smashed sauce and I devoured it until I was almost sick because the flavors were so robust and irresistible. I could not have been happier with my experience and I will definitely be returning.
Real napolitan pizza in Lexington! As an italian I certify that this is not only the best pizza in town, but also a very good one for the italian standards!
We were visiting from Illinois and craving a good pizza. We decided to give the Smashing Tomato a try and are so glad we did! The pizza was some of the best we’ve had and the chopped salad was to die for!!! But the best part of the experience was the manager, Matt. He took the time to sit down with us and explain the process and give us some suggestions. He was very friendly and professional! If we are back in Lexington, we will definitely make another trip to Smashing Tomato!!
We are here from Illinois, so it's our first time. The pizza was excellent and the sheet music and artichoke dip was to die for! We will be coming back, as often as we come to visit. Any plans for resturants in illinois?? Specifically the peoria area!
