El Charro Authentic Mexican - Lexington

I have been going to El Charo regularly for many years and I believe they serve the best Mexican food in Lexington. Their margaritas are also fantastic. I don't understand how some people can say their food is just average, as I have always had an excellent dining experience. The service is always top-notch, starting with Martin at their previous location and now with Betty. Betty is friendly, attentive (but not overbearing), and always quick to respond to any requests. She is a wonderful server in a fantastic restaurant.

We visited both El Charro locations and absolutely loved them! The service and overall experience at both restaurants were excellent. The newly renovated decor, especially the bar, was fantastic. They have great daily happy hour specials and their thin margaritas are hands down the best in the city. Made with only fresh juice and tequila, they are delicious. Even though we passed several other Mexican restaurants on the way, we were glad we made the extra drive to El Charro. We had nothing but a great experience and were not disappointed.

Food was amazing, service was the same. It was a late lunch so they weren't busy.

Delicious Mexican food in a beautiful modern restaurant. I had the chicken fajitas and found them to be well seasoned and delicious. I especially enjoyed their homemade tomatillo salsa verde drizzled on my fajitas. My son had the chicken burrito with cheese sauce added to it. He said that it was great. The chips and salsa were good as well. My son ordered a large order of the cheese dip and it had a really good flavor. Our server took great care of us. I would definitely recommend trying them out If you’re in the area. Nice neighborhood hangout!

Amazing place and food, great atmosphere and exceptional customer service. My waiter was Miguel and Jennifer helped in answering any questions I had when he was attending to other customers. They even sang happy birthday to me (my birthday was on Saturday). He did inform me that it was against the rules to celebrate after your actual birthday date but they made an exception since I was in another State at the time. Beyond a first time experience I'll definitely be back.
