The new owners know how to provide an excellent service. Uber cancelled three times for a ride to the station and when I asked for a taxi he offered to take me! Rooms clean and great for a 3 star property. If you don't want a bland box hotel chain then look here. The service is seriously good.
Great place, very clean and safe. I believe it has recently reopened under new management. Staying here saves a lot of money compared to accommodations in Brighton or Lewes, and there's a huge free parking area available, plus a bus stop to Brighton right in front. Although there wasn’t a bar or restaurant at the time of our visit, we noticed on Booking.com that they are expected to reopen soon. If you want to save money and don’t mind the absence of cash amenities, this is a fantastic alternative.
I stayed here last week and returned again this week. The rooms are spotless, and there's minimal street noise, even with the nearby A27! It's a shame about the restaurant, but it's clearly marked as closed when reservations are made. The person who manages the place is as friendly as can be, and I'll definitely be back every time I’m in Falmer for work.
The hotel is somewhat outdated, but the rooms are well-equipped and situated in an ideal location for resting and completing the South Downs Way. We were able to safely store our bikes in the room while we slept. The staff were fantastic and the service was excellent. We hope the restaurant will reopen after the COVID-19 restrictions are lifted.
