Freudian Sip - Leura

Very cute and cozy interior with crocheted blankets for your lap and a fireplace. We visited twice while staying in Katoomba. The vegan burrito was very bland. However, the schnitzel burger was bang on, as was the banana bread with Nuttelex. Service was a little strange. Coffee was great.

We happened to come across this place after being sad that a nearby vegan cafe had closed down during the pandemic. We weren’t expecting much but were pleasantly surprised! We had a delicious vegan chicken burger and tasty scrambled tofu. The place is cosy and there was a nice fire. There was also a vegan burrito on the menu, soup, a plant based chicken Caesar salad, and other things I can’t remember. A bit of a mix up with the staff and our order but it was fine. Friendly, homely with a great open fire. Great coffee with Soy, Almond Oat milks. Banana bread is vegan and the scrambled tofu is tasty. Pumpkin soup is vegan and they are kind to introduce new vegan options with vegan burgers and vegan sausages.

This cafe is pet friendly and serves a delicious vegan chicken sandwich. The patty is crispy, and the vegan cheese and vegan mayo are excellent. The staff are very accommodating and love dogs. It's the ideal spot to visit on a rainy day, with handmade blankets on every chair.
