Contribuiți la feedbackWe have been visiting this bar/restaurant for over 10 years and have been reluctant to review as we would love for it to stay as it is, a local establishment where you will meet some of the waiters and bar staff who work at other restaurants in Port Leucate. It is one of the few waterfront bars to remain open in the winter for this very reason. The hosts Allan and Corrine, apologies if misspelled, together with their family are very welcoming to all visitors, Allan speaks English but the bar is deliciously French in all other aspects. We have had many meals there and never been disappointed. Most sports events can be watched here (including Brit rugby/football) They will do their best to assist in you watching your choice of sport either online or on tv.We were there last week and Corrine opened early in order for me to watch a live game from NewZealand, I was so grateful.Euro 2016 was a pleasure to follow in such good company. The only problem is that when the wine is flowing it is difficult to leave and we end up eating there far more often than planned!During winter they do close on 1 evening a week, we went there on a Tuesday before leaving on the Wednesday and they were unfortunately closed so if they read this , thank you all for everything and we will see you in October, Mr and Mrs Gallois.Would highly recommend.
We thoroughly enjoyed our visits to Le Toucan. The family who run Le Toucan could not have been more pleasant and accommodating. We enjoyed a Paella whilst watching the Champions League final, which we really enjoyed. If,however you only need a drink facing the beach, then this is as good a place to visit.
