Le Capri - Leucate

We had eaten here at our 4 night in France. Unfortunately we had to wait for 50min after the order. Since other guests were served faster, we had the impression that the girl simply forgot the order. Eating was definitely not the best we had so far on this trip. French fries limited, and 27euro for a fish plate with hardly anything fish. My wife, who needs very little for diners, has left a hungry feeling. I had the mussels with cream, lots of cream, very small shells. I like food and enjoy a good service, so I can't recommend it.

Visit here with the family on Sunday. A GREAT initiative is a free children's meal with a fully paid adult. It was the last day before seasonal closure, so there were a few things not available that is understandable. We had 12 oysters, a part of the razor shells and gambles and two garlic rolls as tapas starters. The main course was Calamar on Planxa, Morue, a huge steak and a chickenceasar salad, all served with chips. Dessert was a cream catalane, 2 boules by Sorbet and a banana split. 2 x 1 litre bottles Perrier, 2 Orangina, 1 Ricard, 1 Shandy and 1 Sangria plus three coffees were the drinks. The invoice was 178€!!!! 44€ per person!!!! The food was not exceptional, but good. I have eaten a lot better food in much more beautiful restaurants for much less money.

We ate in this fantastic restaurant! Prices are big and children free when an adult pays! We loved it and will recommend it to everyone! The seafood and burgers were amazing!! We're coming back! Fantastic service and owner!

It was surprisingly best restaurant in the area. Everything was perfect: food, place, personal. It is magic, when you can order your breakfast or dinner and have a great time with yachts view! :) Here you can get any food you like: pizza, sea food, pasta, meat! Very delicious, fresh and tasty! People, clients are the most important for the restaurant stuff, and be sure they will do the best for you to enjoy staying at this place! :))) You WILL have a wish to come back again and again. My special thanks to Andre, the restaurant owner, who welcome us everyday! This brilliant person helped us with the information about France not just delicious food! :))) If you get to this restaurant, you may call yourself a lucky person! :))) Enjoy your meal! The night was very windy and we wanted to find a place out of the wind but with a view to see the sun set. Le Capri had just the table. The waiter was very nice and friendly and explained a few of the dishes for us. We settled on some red wine and a couple of different pizzas. There were many other interesting-looking dishes being served all around us but we were in a pizza mood. We were not disappointed. The pizza arrived hot and cheesy. The crust was thin and the sauce had that crushed red pepper flavor I like. We are used to getting our pizzas pre-cut. It was a bit of a struggle cutting our own with the knife and fork provided but we managed. If I were cooking them I probably have left them in the hot oven for just a minute more to get the bottom of the crust on the burned side. I think that adds a certain must-have flavor to pizzas. Otherwise, it hit the spot. I would go to Le Capri again to try some of their other menu items. It looked and smelled delicious there . . .
