Pitango Gelato Reston Town Center

I used to love going here for an excellent cup of latte as the guy who worked here knew how to make an excellent espresso. However, the latest person who works there during lunch, although very nice, doesn't have a clue how to make a good latte. It tastes like bad coffee with milk poured in. I will likely have to change back to Starbucks, which I don't really like. That's how bad the lattes are here.

Full stop. I. LOVE. GELATO. What a cute place! Friendly staff, clean and tidy, with limited indoor seating as well as a few tables outside. So many options to choose from. I got chocolate hazelnut and vanilla chocolate chip. WOW!!! There's also a small selection of baked goods as well as coffee, cold brews, and lattes, plus water, hot chocolate, etc. This is a must visit if you've got a sweet tooth, or just love Gelato.

Gelato is great here but coffee is bitter. Best place for desert aftering dining out at the Reston town center.

4/5! Always love stopping by here when I'm in RTC. Definitely a good place if you are craving some sweets for dessert or looking to just hang around. The Food: For this visit, I went with a Pineapple Sorbet! I love fruity flavors, so pineapple sounded delicious to me at the time. The sorbet was flavorful and not too sweet! Perfect amount and the scoops they give are fair. The Service: Staff is always friendly and attentive when you walk in. Lines weren't long, but even if there were, it'll breeze by fast. The Atmosphere: The place was nice and clean, a good amount of seating for you to relax at. Overall, a 4/5! Great gelato spot! Always make a visit here when I'm in there area, so I'd highly recommend.

I 've been on a quest to find the best ice cream in the area with a focus on finding hazelnut ice cream, which is my very favorite flavor since childhood. For some odd reason, I 've never seen that in the US. I found Pitango online several months ago and yesterday I found myself in Reston town center and took my chance. Wow, just wow! Worth driving out to. After looking at the menu, I didn 't find hazelnut, but I found black tea and a cardamom flavor. As we were excitedly watching our selected choices being scooped up, we were chit chatting and I explained how we had ended up here. Apparently, he DID have hazelnut and proceeded to give us a sample which turned out to be a whole scoop! Oh my goodness! It 's a must. You must go and experience these remarkable flowers! The manager was incredible and I now owe him a home baked cookie (promised after his amazing generosity and a great excuse to go back again). I still have not figured out which flavors were my favorite. I will have to get three when I go. Oh, the banana flavor is the best non fresh banana flavor I 've ever had perhaps it could turn into a banana split without the split? Banana with a twist not shaken, scooped with a twist.
