Contribuiți la feedbackMy friend and I have known each other for 38 years since our school days, but we hadn't caught up in 30 years. Luckily, my friend was attending a conference at Weetwood Hall, so we decided to meet at Stables Pub, where I am a local resident and have enjoyed the hospitality before. We ordered drinks - my friend got a fruit-flavoured ale from the fridge and I got a half pint of draught beer. The local beers on tap have changed over the years, but now they offer craft ales brewed in Leeds. We sat in the lounge area and enjoyed the family atmosphere. The welcoming and relaxed environment allowed us to catch up on 30 years of history in no time. Thank you, Stables Pub at Weetwood Hall.
My company has stayed at Weetwood Hall many times before 2021, but due to a series of issues such as staff complaints, vehicle break-ins, lack of security cameras in the car park, and rude hotel staff including through email, we had not returned. However, we recently visited just to use the bar. We arrived around 11am and had to leave for a meeting by noon, so it was a brief visit. Despite being directed to a table and told the server would be with us shortly, it took 32 minutes and three attempts to order at the bar before our drinks, a coffee and a Diet Coke, arrived. The bar was not busy, with only four tables including ours, but the server seemed distracted. We do not plan on returning, but we are grateful we remembered to register for parking at reception.
Our dining experience at this pub just kept deteriorating. Two staff members behind the bar didn't even greet us when we arrived. When we mentioned we had a reservation, we were simply pointed to our table without any further guidance. No one informed us where to find the menus or how to order, despite the lack of other customers. Eventually, fed up with the excessively loud music, I had to go to the bar myself to ask for the menus. The server, lacking in social skills, took our order but struggled with a simple request to customize a pizza. It took him an absurdly long time to pour our drinks, which turned out to be sour. The starter was undercooked and served without a word, and the water flow in the bathroom was barely functional. Overall, it was a terrible dining experience in a poorly managed establishment with unfriendly staff. Needless to say, we will not be returning.
Well, after 3 months of an anticipated wait for our short break, myself and my wife were looking forward to a return to the stables pub at weetwood Hall and there wholesome food and beers! Disappointment is all I can say! We ordered a pint of cider and san migel at the bar to be told no san migel im afraid! Thats ok well have carlsberg instead! After choosing our meals we waited and was looking forward to them(Mexican pizza for myself and mushroom curry for my wife and an accompanent of onion bajis) The waiter arrived with a serving frame and tray to assist with the sizzling curry and pizza, but when it arrived to my disappointment,2 limp French bread slices, some frozen chips and a nearly warm curry and baji,s! Oh and coincidentally the serving frame(in picture)was never used! Also to add insult to injury a few guests behind us were served san migel,if the barrel needed changing we would have waited! I know we have just started to come out of lockdown and things are strain for the hospitality industry, but we visited during the pandemic and your food was spot pn! Your pizza last time was amazing, a proper 9 well presented base and lovely cut chips and the curry served hot and well presented, worthy of any Indian restaurant! I would have made my concerns during our stay(23/7/21)but was not asked if our meals were ok,and didn't want to cause a scene!
Good outdoor space and environment , just ruined by shockingly slow service. Not enough staff, and the few there Look like they have just been told to get on with it without any training. Very disappointing
