We have been regular customers since we mover to Le Vésinet last year. The food is good quality and fresh. Portions are quite small, so you need to take at least a starter and main, or the 3 course meal. The cheaper lunch menu is also available in the evening and even on saturday and is good value. Minus: the menu is not changing very often, so as a regular customer, there is little variation.
Traditionally French restaurant offering a limited but we'll cooked menu. Surprisingly will cater for Vegetarian's on a request basis. Good wine list as well as offering house wine in pichet. A hotel as well.
We actually went to this restuarant and booked a table yesterday lunchtime for a meal at 1930. Imagine our surprise when we arrived in the evening to find the place in total darkness and to be told by a local person that it was closed. What a dissapointment as it was our 20th wedding anniversary!
For a long time, we wanted to discover this restaurant. We're not disappointed. 21 euros flat entrance and 26 euros full menu. prices very correct and excellent quality, entry: enjoy seafood; flat: peeled with small vegetables. excellent refined cuisine I highly recommend. and the charming staff where you feel good.
A good place to go for meat: that's their thing, they appear to hang it themselves. Has been almost invariably delicious over the course of six or so visits from July 2011 November 2013. Just once was served a sirloin that had not been seasoned (at all). Lovely faded period interior and general ambience it feels cosy in freezing February and its great with all the windows and doors open, late night on a sweltering summer's evening. The patron could be played by Philippe Noiret all adds to the charm of the place. It's not cheap but you only have to look at the cuts of beef on display and visit any French butcher to realise the mark ups are not excessive. Very nice house Bordeaux, that you can have in whatever quantity suits. Service can be a bit awry at times and serving staff different every time have been, but they are generally very solicitous, so anything that goes wrong, gets put right fairly quickly.
