We celebrated our wedding anniversary here in December. My husband had made a couple of phone calls previously and made a booking so they were expecting us.We wanted vegetarian and they made a great effort to provide us with a wonderful experience.I loved that the food was all organic and sourced locally as far as possible. The waitress knew the provenance of all the food. It was simple and extremely tasty. We had several tasting plates that looked amazing as well as tasting good.I can't wait to return.
This place is surprisingly good. The owners (and often their little daughter) offer a really different eating experience. Not your average menu but really tasty surprises. Things like wild succulents - didn't trust that but I was pleasantly surprised. And the beers on tap are worth a visit. Very kid friendly with an outdoor area that can be explored. A bit of Newtown in Lawson - an interesting eat.
We stopped here on our way to katoomba for lunch. So glad we did. Friendly staff and lovely food. We both had the burger. Probably the tastiest and healthiest burger we've eaten in a long time. The meat was actually a very tender piece of steak(Not minced) very tasty and the pale ale beer we had to go with it was fabulous.
We visited this fantastic cafe and bar on our way up to the mountains for a couple of days, and we were so impressed with the service and food, that we had to stop in for another visit on the way home. Absolutely beautiful food, so well presented, just delightful. We will be back again, just wish we had something like this close to where we live in Sydney.
