Champps Kitchen - Lansing

The food at this restaurant was disappointing. It lacked flavor and some dishes were burnt. Even after sending back my main course, the dessert recommended to me was also unsatisfactory. In addition to the poor quality of the food, the service was slow. My partner finished their dessert before mine even arrived. The only decent item was the chicken tender appetizer, but even those crumbled as I ate them.

The restaurant is well-designed with a sports bar atmosphere, but the service is very slow. Despite there being only two other couples in the restaurant when my daughter and I arrived, we waited 15 minutes just to place a drink order. It took an additional 25 minutes for our food to arrive. Due to the unappealing service, we opted not to order any appetizers. We do not plan on returning.

I want to clarify that this is not your typical BBQ restaurant. This place is extremely hot and spicy, and I am not happy with my first experience. If I could give negative stars, I would. I cannot handle spicy food, and one bite was enough to make my mouth feel like it was on fire.

Our waitress was and wonderful! I wish I could remember her name, I know it started with an M and it wasn't very common. We had a whole crowd in there kind of a family get together and she was on top of everything she kept it up she was polite she was sonice and so appreciative we just really loved her.!

What a lovely place for a lunch meeting. Atmosphere was welcoming with beautiful scenery and even a very attractive looking patio. It was the perfect place for a group get together and had something for everybody. If you have a large group with avariety of different appetites this is a great place to go. Hardest part is making a decision of what you want to get. Also thewait staff was super quick and very friendly.
