Lobbster Trap - LANCELIN

Really high quality food, best burger I have had in a long time.

Stopped into this little cafe with a friend yesterday on our day trip to lancelin. Instantly we were met with the owners of the place, who apparently converted the house to a shop themselves. Such a friendly couple to talk to, and a gorgeous transition from house to eclectic little cafe/ restaurant with an atmosphere you don't see everyday. Food was great, coffee was great! Smiles all round.

Stopped through with my rather large family and the staff were very welcoming! The coffee is great and the food is delicious. The kids enjoyed exploring the tranquil gardens and we loved the relaxed feel of the cafe inside and out. The food was fabulous, came out in a timely manner and was well priced. A nice change to the usual, this cafe has healthier choices which satisied everyone. Definately worth the visit, we will be back!

Booked in on the morning based on the reviews and the fact that nowhere else in Lancelin serves anything lobstery. It was a cold day so when we arrived we were seated inside... in a storeroom along with another table of six bemused oldies. After a bit, we asked if we could order and then were given a ratty old menu and instructed to go out to the counter to see the specials. We ordered the two lobster-oriented dishes, both around $35 bucks each, and were told they had about half a lobster of meat in each. The lobster linguine came out to our table about thirty seconds after we ordered and was closely followed by the lobster bruschetta. Both were pretty ordinary and the linguine would have definitely benefited from A BIT OF LOBSTER MEAT!!!! It was undetectable. The bruschetta had small pieces but these in no way justified the price. We were extremely disappointed, as were the other table of diners behind us. No service, no atmosphere and very nearly NO LOBSTER..... Don't bother.
