Gerhard's Elegant European Desserts

The pastries are delightful and not overly sweet. A Frangiapane paired with a cup of coffee makes for a wonderful Saturday morning breakfast. Additionally, the staff embodies traditional hospitality and excellent customer service.

Gerhard created my oldest daughter's first birthday cake 20 years ago. I adore the style and the elegant presentation, but what I cherish the most is Mary. Plus, the Smiley cookies are unbeatable—definitely better than any bars!

This place is a must-visit in Lake Forest! They offer a fantastic selection of all-natural treats, and the staff and owner are incredibly friendly.

Fabulous and creative pastries in the European tradition. Enjoy tea or coffee, or maybe a luncheon quiche, in the lovely cafe. Mary and her staff make everyone feel at home.

The desserts here are quite pricey and, in my opinion, just average. There's nothing extraordinary about them. I've visited several times, and the only pastry I've truly enjoyed is the raspberry marmalade tart. I'll rate it 3 stars because the owner's warm and welcoming demeanor always makes a good impression from the moment I step inside.
