Le Hibou - La Pêche

We were there for lunch, on the patio overlooking the Gatineau River : lovely. We had the nachos and the burger and both dishes were impeccable. Godd salsa, good guacamole, good fries, good aioli. What more do you want? Attentive and friendly service and we got that Too.It makes it a place that we want to go back to regularly because the experience is always good.

On a word-of-mouth whim, we decided to take a kiwi friend to Le Hibou, Wakefield for lunch after touring the excellent Mosaica exhibition in Gatineau. We were cordially received and ultimately seated at a patio table overlooking the river. Our drinks orders were promptly executed but our food order, comprising a vegetarian burger and a beef burger, were somewhat delayed. When received, they proved to be excellent, with the owner/manager more than compensating us for the delay. We highly recommend this establishment for their professionalism and quality of food, and will certainly make a return visit in the not-too-distant future.

We headed to Wakefield and happened upon Le Hibou. Based on the good reviews we decided to check it out and weren't disappointed. The view from the patio is magnificent. The burger I had was delicious and my friends said the same about the fish and chips. Would definitely recommend.

Great service. Try the fish and chips with a super light batter. The black bean and beet burger was also delicious.

Stopped here for lunch on the patio. The food is excellent, had the fish tacos and they are outstanding. The service is great. Sitting on the patio looking into the river and having a great lunch with family, priceless.
