Bistro Rutherford - La Pêche

Matt the owner of Bistro Rutherford BBQ has a good thing going on with this gem of a restaurant in Wakefield. We had nachos with guacamole for starters – super fresh. My wife had smoked chicken BLT and I had the pulled pork sandwich - very good. I recommend to all those barbeque lovers.

A somewhat strange restaurant with a friendly atmosphere. Bistro Rutherford is the food side of the Black Sheep inn and when you order your meal, the drinks are provided by the Black Sheep bar and billed separately. The tables are bare but clean and the small 28 seat restaurant is comfortable from a pub point of view with a good view of the river. The menu is varied with pulled pork, ribs and chicken served in a basket with lots of chips and/or salad. Service was very friendly, good and quick. This is not a fancy restaurant and really caters a pub-style menu.Car parking is available to the left of the Black Sheep inn.

Hearty appetites will love the Smoker style food- ribs, chicken, and pulled pork with enough fries to satisfy young and old! Friendly staff and a low-key place to go with friends and family! Don't expect high end decor- just a good cozy feeling!

It was nice to sit on the patio drinking beer from Black Sheep and munching on ribs and pulled pork from Rutherford. The more health conscious among us had salad instead of chips on the side and all left stuffed and happy. Servings were large and reasonably priced, service was friendly, but toilets were unfortunately untidy.

Salade césar excellente. Poutine ordinaire car servit avec sauce brune et peu de fromage. Bière et sangria très bonnes. Je recommande
