Contribuiți la feedbackI recently dined at Fabrika Bistro, and I must say it was a thoroughly disappointing experience. Not only did they have exorbitant prices that were completely unjustified, but I also discovered evidence of wine fraud during my visit. I felt compelled to share my experience to caution others who might consider dining at this establishment. Let's begin with the prices. I understand that high-end restaurants often come with a premium, but the prices at Fabrika Bistro were outrageously inflated. It felt like a blatant attempt to take advantage of unsuspecting customers. The menu offered nothing exceptional to justify the exorbitant costs. The portions were minuscule, leaving me feeling unsatisfied and taken advantage of. To make matters worse, I stumbled upon undeniable evidence of wine fraud during my visit. I ordered a bottle of wine, which was purportedly from a reputable vineyard. However, upon conducting my own research afterward, I discovered that the wine I was served was a cheap knockoff, not the authentic product. This deceitful practice is not only unethical but also illegal, and it reflects a complete lack of integrity on the part of Fabrika Bistro. The service was subpar as well. The staff seemed disinterested and inattentive, providing minimal assistance throughout the entire meal. It was as if they were more concerned with turning tables quickly than ensuring a pleasant dining experience for their patrons. The lack of professionalism and genuine care was evident and contributed to the overall disappointment of the evening. Considering the exorbitant prices, wine fraud, and lackluster service, I cannot recommend Fabrika Bistro to anyone seeking an enjoyable dining experience. There are numerous other restaurants in the area that offer better value, honesty, and overall customer satisfaction. It is my hope that this review serves as a warning to potential diners, allowing them to make an informed decision when choosing where to spend their hard-earned money. I implore the management of Fabrika Bistro to address these issues promptly and rectify their practices, as they are tarnishing their reputation and betraying the trust of their customers. We returned for breakfast, lunch, and dinner! All the meals were fantastic, the service was good, and there was a great variety of options. They also had excellent vegetarian choices, including Dalmatian meals. Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5
Atmosphere: The atmosphere of the restaurant was cozy and inviting, with dim lighting and comfortable seating. The ambiance was warm and welcoming, making it a perfect place to enjoy a meal with friends or family. Overall, we had a fantastic dining experience and would highly recommend this restaurant to others.
We bought into the fancy atmosphere, but this place appeared to be total fake: horrible house wine at EUR 50, served in an odd bottle low quality food mediocre and messy service they tried to cheat us with the bill Restaurants with such an attitude should be boycotted. just some facts to illustrate our feedback: 1. We were a team of 4, all of us quite experienced restaurant visitors and we had very similar impressions of the evening. 2. Wine. When making the order we requested the wine list; the waiter answered that the house doesn 't have the wine list but they have one option of house wine for red, white and rose, he didn 't announce the price As he brought the bottle of wine it looked like a bottle of high quality local wine, but it was already open. When I tried the wine it was immediately clear that the wine wasn 't good (weathered, rough, sour tart). The waiter tried to fix the problem by offering another bottle of wine. The second bottle was just a bit better: barely drinkable, but not enjoyable. We decided to proceed with it, given we were already in the middle of the dinner and it was too late to leave. 3. Food. Starters were ok, but all courses had some flaws: wilted lettuce, overdone cold dry french fries (McDonalds does it better), low quality cheese in the cheeseburger, overcooked spaghetti... we ate something (again, we were hungry) but didn 't manage to finish all the food just because it wasn 't good enough. 4. The service. I can 't deny the team tried their best and behaved friendly, still the service wasn 't good. Too many contradictive explanations from the waiter, need to run after him , waiting time for smaller things (like spicy oil for pizza, a something to expect in a pizza house) was such long as if they didn 't know what we asked for. 5. Finally the bill. As we asked for the bill the waiter announced the total amount: 180. As we wanted to split it fifty fifty between two payers: he repeated 90 and 90. We doubted the amount value and requested the detailed bill. The waiter tried to refuse giving us the detailed bill, so we called for the manager. As the manager arrived she explained that the total amount was: 118 incl. EUR 50 for the bottle of wine way overpriced in our opinion for what we had. The manager brought the bill unevenly split in two separate bills. In addition she proposed a discount of 20%. We accepted the discount, but the evening was so hopelessly ruined... that we couldn 't refrain from sharing impressions. There might have been some things lost in translation and maters of tastes, but one can 't deny classical hospitality mistakes that ruin trust: misleading wine service and (mis)communication (no price list) bad and mispriced wine confusions with billing Food: 1 Service: 1 Atmosphere: 4
I typically prefer bistro-style food over traditional restaurants when I travel, especially in relaxed settings like Komiza. Fabrika offers signature burgers, sandwiches, pastas, and a variety of vegan and vegetarian dishes. They serve international cuisine with a touch of local flavors, providing a unique dining experience. The high-quality meat is sourced locally, which is important to me. While some may find the prices slightly higher than on the mainland, it's important to remember that Komiza is the most remote island in this region, leading to higher supply costs. Service at Fabrika is excellent, earning a 5-star rating in my book. I recommend trying the Texas Burger and Fries for 98kn. Overall, Fabrika is a top choice for a delicious and satisfying meal in Komiza.
