Contribuiți la feedbackRed salt was fine. We arrived about 10 minutes before our reservation, walked around the beautiful area and then checked in for our 5:30 reservation at 5:28. We were asked to wait in the lobby. It felt like a snub. Our waiter was fine. He was very young and he was very kind, but didn’t know the menu well or how to handle dietary needs. The food was fine, but overpriced, even for the islands. Wouldn’t recommend, unless you are staying at the resort it is located in.
Red Salt is one of my favorite restaurants on Kauai. We had my son and daughter in laws rehearsal dinner there back in May. My only complaint this time around was that the waiter did not describe the dishes as he delivered them to us. I always enjoyed this extra step in the past when we have eaten at Red Salt.
Great food but not as many GF options this time around. Last time had GF bread option. Also the prior GF Lobster Bisque was SSOOO much better than the current mushroom bisque! Recommend chef bring that back! See you in 2024!
Very expensive and very delicious. I would skip the bread.
My impression of red salt before eating there was raised eating from a chef with an amazing pedigree. what we actually got was above-average eating. our waiter eventually even took water, let alone our cocktails. we ordered an appetizer who forget waiter to place the order so we never got it. the $60 burger was nothing special and the lobster risotto was badly prepared. the table side prepared lemon drop martini was $20. it was shaken and poured on the table; there was nothing special or imaginative about it. red salt is over expensive and underwhelming.
