La Piazza - Köln

This is not real Italian food, we had spaghetti carbonara and penne all’arrabbiata, both lacking taste. The service was far from good but still the waitress kind of forced us to leave a tip. The only good thing was the location and the price. And...the chardonnay.

This restaurant is slightly off the main strip but great if you are staying in the holiday inn or on that side of town. Brilliant outside seating in a relatively quiet location. Pizza's were pretty big but the price was not expensive! Staff really lovely...and speedy service!

The place is very nice, with bright and kind people. The plates are very genuine and tasty. If you are in Köln and you want to eat Italia an food go to La Piazza!

The restaurant is conveniently located at the edge of the main shopping precinct, and is well presented and always had a number of people in the restaurant. When we tried it, there were very few other guests there. The menu is fairly simple Pizza...or Pasta, and a couple of specials. You are able to watch the food being prepared in the kitchen. They also offer a limited range of cocktails . The pizza portions were massive and certainly very tasty. The food was well presented and the restaurant was comfortable and clean. As we were there over Christmas though the English hit Christmas songs did seem a bit repetitive. I guess what let the place only get an Average was that the service was just okay . Shame really, as otherwise it would have been a higher rating.

The servers were very impolite and the pizza I had was very salty but big. My friends had pastas which were also not very good. Wouldn't recommend.
