Olds River Inn, Brewery - Kodiak

We wanted to go with the family restaurant because we had heard such good things. The view is great and the food tastes delicious. Unfortunately, the service was terrible that the trip was not worth it. Was betrayed that it wasn't good and we weren't the only ones in the restaurant. It took 45 minutes until you set up a reservation, missing food from the order, and the order of the children was burned. Wasn?t checked for all during the meal. Halibut was very good, wish it was worth coming back!

They didn't seem to want our business. They didn't let us pass by the top at 3:30, although it says they're open until 4:00. There are not much for options there if you are really hungry... so it made a little more disappointing.

Definitely the best restaurant I went to Kodiak in the week I visited. A local recommended it and I was hesitating to make the long trip, but it was absolutely worth it. The beer is good, and the herb-crust-Halibut was fantastic! The room has a great view, and all the workers were friendly.

Excellent food in a very relaxed atmosphere. And if you can snag one of the chairs on the deck with a great view of the mountains, it's even better. Note this is definitely a local's place, so you may wait or be shut out without a reservation but chill with one of their excellent beers and relax, and if you can get a seat it will be worth it. We had great halibut and went back twice within a week in late August 2021. Best food on Kodiak island!

Hands down the best restaurant and brewery on the entire island. The owner spent time to talk to me and make sure everything was perfect. I had the blackened salmon and it was without a doubt the best seafood I?ve had in years. I will make it a point to come here on a regular basis
