Chipotle Mexican Grill - Knoxville

The cleanliness of this restaurant left much to be desired. I arrived at 9:00 PM, only to find that they had no food available and were in the process of cleaning up, even though they were supposed to close at 11:00 PM. The staff seemed more interested in chatting with each other than taking our order. They were cleaning the grill while half of the protein options were out of stock because they claimed they wanted to close early without taking a break. To make matters worse, I witnessed one employee cleaning the drink station and mopping while wearing gloves, then using those same gloves to operate the cash register and handle food, like reaching into the lettuce and rolling up burritos. It was pretty unappetizing.

I walked in, took a look around, and immediately left. This was one of the dirtiest places I've ever encountered. The floor was littered with food and paper waste, and the food trays were unappealing, with spills from nearby trays all over the place. This restaurant really needs to close for a thorough cleaning and some staff training. Where is the management? I ended up going to Salsaritas instead, which was much nicer.

**Note to all staff:** When a customer requests only a small amount of red sauce, please pay attention. I couldn’t finish part of my meal because the server served me almost an entire scoop, and the restaurant was too busy for me to ask her to take some off. Additionally, this location seemed a bit dirtier than most, particularly the bathroom. On a positive note, the food was fresh, and the restaurant didn’t play loud music—this is only the second location I’ve been to that doesn’t do that, and I really appreciated it.

Went there for the last time for awhile bc I'm having stomach surgery and can't eat solid food for awhile. Well it always seems like they are always out of something. This time they were out of vinegrette. Also there was only one guy working the line with a line to the door. He only gave me a half scoop of guacamole since the pan was almost empty. A guy came out from the back a few times but didn't jump in to help. Disappointed and ripped off

On Oct 5, 2022 at 8:45 pm (closes at 10:00) we entered this very clean restaurant. There were at least 7 to 8 folks working that we could see. No guests inside. When we approached the glass it was crazy. There was no steak, no black beans, no vegetables, almost no chicken. And what was in the pans looked like it was left over from lunch. No one would look at us for about 30 seconds. They all had to know. Then one gentleman said may I help you. My wife asked, are you going to be making any more food, and he said, No we are out. I chuckled and asked, you are out? He said, Yes. As we were walking out, the only other person that would look at us said. Sorry, as I walked by. We all know better. I decided to go back in a take a couple of picks that are time stamped 8:48. In my life this is the first negative review I have ever posted, because I understand that no one is perfect. But this was intentional laziness. We went next door to Panda express and received terrific service. Photos attached:
