It took a long time for our order to come, bread orders came not as a starter but with the meal, no noticeable cheese on one and not enough butter, two of the orders were not particularly warm let alone hot, chicken was burnt on one side, and for the money, it wasn’t nearly enough pasta. Pasta…seriously? After that there was no way we were having dessert. The server also didn’t come to the table enough, especially since it wasn’t particularly busy. Overall terrible experience.
Had a great experience at Jack Astors, Kitchener today. The service was fantastic and the Chicken Parm was incredible. Highly recommend! I am also convinced the bruschetta here can’t be beat. I would have included a photo but I ate it too fast!
My partner and I had a fantastic experience on our date night at this restaurant. The cocktails recommended by our server were delightful, and the chicken fingers and coconut curry bowl were both outstanding. I would definitely recommend this place for its delicious food and friendly service.
We waited a long time before one of the servers at the bar finally took us to our table. They quickly took our drink order, but it took about 20 minutes for them to take our food order, even though the restaurant wasn't busy. I ordered the Chicken Club sandwich, which was very thick, but unfortunately, it was mostly filled with lettuce. The piece of chicken was extremely thin, and for $18 a plate, it was disappointing. I am also pretty sure that the fries were frozen, not fresh. Overall, for the amount of money we spent, there are much better dining options available. I will not be returning. Our bill for a Chicken Club sandwich, a chicken wrap, and a beer came out to over $60 after tip.
We were in town for a hockey tournament and went there between games on Sunday. 2 of us ordered wings. It took quite a long time for the order to come up. The wings were not cooked as they were not warm in the middle and had a purple colour to them. We told the waitress and she apologized and returned them to the kitchen. She came back and said the chef checked the temperature and said they were not under cooked but they would make a new batch. We got that batch and yes, cooked, but all of the meat inside was purple. They looked disgusting. We ended up sending those back and asked to just have them removed from our bill. The manage came to visit again and argued with us on the temperature. The wings were not good quality at all. You would get better wings if you bought frozen boxes at a cheap grocery store. We didn't get anything further taken off our bill and left without giving a tip. I would not recommend this place to anyone based on the argumentative manager and server.
