Ennio's Pasta House - Kitchener

I have no doubt this place does well as there were lots of people and deliveries were frequent yet it is not a place we would go back to. Food was typical but not outstanding, and the buns, while cibiata, they are not what I would want to have with an italian meal. Place was noisy and seats were too close to others. Service was ok, but way too fast. I have not been to a restaurant in a very long time where I was out in 40 minutes

Have dined here many times in the past and have always been happy with the food and the service. Returned this afternoon and after being seated, the waitress came over to take our drink order while we looked at the menu. The waitress came back with our drinks promptly and was very friendly and courteous. After this she basically disappeared, we waited for 20 minutes for her to come back and take our order and I managed to make eye contact with her a couple of times but no luck getting her to come over. The rest of the staff was busy training and dealing with the Skip the Dishes drivers. Finally gave up, left cash on the table to cover the drinks and walked out. We used to enjoy coming to this restaurant in the past, but it has been steadily deteriorating, the whole place feels old and tired. This was the last straw, as it basically cast a pall on the rest of our afternoon, and I will not be returning again. More of a shame than anything else.

I had Veal Parmigiano with a side of spaghetti, my wife had their delicious lasagne, and my son had their Chicken Parmigiano. All of our meals impressed and were delicious. We started with Caesar salads, and pazzo bread, which appears to be strips of crispy dough deep fried and coated in garlic, butter, and lots of parmesan cheese. The service was excellent as always here. They have very friendly yet professional servers. The atmosphere is very inviting, and we recommend this restaurant for its excellent and varied Italian dishes.

Steer clear of the gluten free pasta. We had two gluten free pasta dishes. The noodles were so over cooked they were inedible. I appreciate they had the option, but don’t bother offering If you’re going to cook it improperly. $200 meal down the drain. Glad everyone else liked theirs.

Our family has been going to Ennio 's for over 25 years. However, that has now stopped. It appears that inferior meat products are now being used to supplement various dishes, ie in particular the Bisteca pasta dish. On 2 separate occasions, the meat was very tough and difficult to chew. The last order involved 10 dishes picked up at the Kitchener location, 5 of which were Bisteca pasta. The meat tasted like leather. I complained to the front desk the next day only to receive.... oh, that 's too bad response. The founders of this restaurant would be very disappointed. We are now looking elsewhere for Italian alternatives.
