Ferns Restaurant - Kirkland Lake

Stopped for lunch with my daughter. She always raved about it so thought we needed to try it. She was right. I had a cheeseburger and frenchfries. Everything was home made. Portions were so big I couldn't finish it all. My daughter had her regular chicken fingers and fries. Don't think the fingers were home made, but she said they were excellent. Nice staff and a comfortable down to earth atmosphere. Lots of regulars there so that alone should tell you how good it was. Highly recommended if your in Kirkland lake or just driving through.

Awesome food & Great service They have very good breakfast. Theirs a good portion of food & price very reasonable! You will not be disapointed1!

It has been said here a few times. When you see a place where a lot of locals go, you know that it has to be good. This restaurant was very busy at 9.30am on a Friday morning during a snow storm! The staff was fun, the food was good and the atmosphere was very nice. It gave you a good sense of small town northern Ontario. Breakfast was put together nicely, very hearty and had some good flavour. It is not a 5 star restaurant, by any means, but it is well worth a visit, just to interact with the people and enjoy some good 'home cooked' meals.

Looks rundown from the outside but inside its a warm atmosphere, locals definitely come here, it was very busy.I was on a time crunch so I had the Chicken Caesar Salad, it was very good.The server was polite, the layout is open concept, you can see the kitchen from anywhere. The service was fast, especially considering how busy is was.I'll go back again eventually, I would recommend it for sure.

This best lil breakfast place in town....friendly staff, efficient service according to how busy it may be! Bright & clean , food is good nice social atmosphere a great way to start off your day!!
