Federal Tavern - Kirkland Lake

We always hesistate about going to the fed because its so inconsistant... well we opted to try it one more time and fell on a huge disapointment... we were the only table waiting for food, i ordered bacon and eggs which the cook was nice enough to make because its not on the menu, my boyfriend ordered the philly steak and the pickerel special... after waiting an hour the waitress came to tell us that pickerel takes longer to cook and thats what we are waiting on... this i know is not true as i work in the service industry as well.... after another 20 minutes of waiting our food finally came.... my eggs were a jumbled mess on my plate, the philly had no sauce on it, it was just roast beef, and the pickerel that apparently takes longer to cook was still raw! Are you serious? We walked out hungrier than when we went in... lesson learned

Had some drinks and some laughs, shot some pool and dumped some change into the jukebox. Was a great night overall, great support staff and friendly waitresses.

Lost for words!! Can't believe how horrible this place is!! Very cute pub, but the employees are just temperamental, very unprofessional!! Heard a tantrum coming from the kitchen!! Portions are despicable!!

It had been close to 35 years since I last stepped into the Fed, and it was still the same. Friendly, fun and GREAT food. (and I didn't get kicked out this time!!) Big Hugs to the staff for a GREAT time!!

Great food (especially their chicken wings). Staff is very helpful. Sports tv, music. Great atmosphere.
