Contribuiți la feedbackWe came here for my sons Birthday (he had found the spot on instagram! . We did try and book online, but found out this was not possible, so after a full day out in central London, and fighting therough 2 and a half hours of nightmare ish traffic, we got to Poor boys about 5pm ish. We were met by Charlie, who was an absolute legend! Really top guy, and honest about the waiting times as this place was heaving! After finding out that it was my son's birthday he came out with a couple of milkshakes for the boys while we waited. he found a few mins for a nice chat too have to say his customer service skills are second to none! We only waited 20 mins, got our table and ordered our feast a kids meal, a cauliflower po'boy and a meat sharer platter. The food was amazing, the burnt ends were some of the best we ever had, the chicken was great too! The Brisket was a little dry, but, still really nice! This was a great meal out with the family, great value for money, and Amazing customer service. Many thanks to the whole team, especially Charlie!
Very yummy but not entirely what it’s hyped up to be, very small seating area all crammed together, portion sizes were really good couldn’t finish all our meal but the ranch was just horrible, minus the fact it’s green it just tasted so horrible I could barley eat my chicken, Cajun sauce was nice but again just had a weird taste . For the price you pay for these sauces they should at least be bigger , would probably return just avoid ranch!
Very very big portions and good value for money! The mac and cheese was just incredible. Will definitely be back. The cocktails were also really unique and tasted great
Wanted to do an update on my previous review. Have been here countless times, and never had a bad meal. Portion size is off the scale, making it amazing value. Just buy a few different things and share them. As mentioned before, they don’t take bookings, so queue time is up to around a hour on weekends mainly. Staff are so patient and friendly, and the place is always busy, even on a Monday evening, where all other restaurants around it are empty. Says a lot. Highly recommend. Still not found a better Mac and cheese. And the brisket donuts are off the scale!
Poor Boys had been on my bucket list for a while and it didn’t disappoint. My partner and I shared dishes so we could try everything. Everything was simply delicious and felt like high quality ingredients. The soft shell crab, cajun prawns and brisket donuts were a highlight! Definitely get a cream soda float to wash it down. Cannot wait for my next visit. Be prepared to queue, however we were seated within 10 mins despite being told it would be a half hour wait.
