Contribuiți la feedbackThe overall atmosphere of this restaurant is one of indifference. Upon arrival, we were hardly acknowledged as the male staff were too busy chatting amongst themselves. Eventually, a friendly young lady greeted us. The food was just average and nothing special. Some of the items were unreasonably expensive. For example, a single thin slice of salmon on a piece of bread as a starter cost £10, including service charge. It disappeared in just a few bites. Additionally, a small side of vegetables, which should be included with the main course, cost an extra £6. The ingredients likely cost less than 50p. Making customers order sides separately from main courses seems like a way to maximize profits. It's disappointing. There are much better dining options in Wimbledon, and this restaurant is only for those who are easily fooled or unaware, unfortunately.
Daniel is so charming and friendly, best waiter we have ever had, give him a raise!!! Definitely coming back as soon as possible.
We had an amazing evening at this restaurant. The food was delicious and the service was top-notch. The highlight of the night was the tribute performance by Ray Lowe, who did a fantastic job singing all the classic Rat Pack songs along with some Christmas tunes. It was a fun and enjoyable evening, with everyone in high spirits. Special thanks to Fabio and his team for creating a memorable night for us.
A super unplanned visit , a warm welcome … fantastic quality food and brilliant service , this place does not disappoint. A real feel of Italy !!!
We went to Al Forno at Kingston Upon Thames branch with my sister last Sunday. To begin with, the staff was very rude. The waiter who “welcomed us in” was so in rush that didn’t even give us a second to think where we want to sit. Meanwhile a waitress was dragging a big chair in the middle of the restaurant and it was making a crazy noice. Later on we got the food. Our starter was not too bad. For main course we ordered fettuccine bolognese for both of us. However, they brought us spaghetti instead, I had to turn down the order and get what we ordered. The waiter didn’t even apologise but he took the order back kind of angry. Finally we got our pasta. The Pasta was made like the chef wanted to tell us “never come back here again”. The fettuccine were stick together and not soft enough. To conclude, we used to go often to this restaurant as we live just 2 minutes away, and quite frankly the staff is always cold and not very welcoming, but we decided to give it a last chance but we end up disappointed. I am making this review for the only reason that the owner deserves to know what kind of staff he has hired.
