Sweet Treet - Kingston

This restaurant hasn't changed since the 1990s when I visited as a child. I try not to view it solely through nostalgia, but I must say, it remains just as good as I remember. The food is simply the best breakfast I've ever had. The eggs are cooked to perfection, and the homemade fries are delicious. I should probably mention the hot sauce—I even picked out two bottles to take with me. Now that I live out of state, I find myself wishing I could have breakfast here every morning. I've been to countless breakfast spots as an adult, and while some have come close, none have been able to surpass the quality of the food or the atmosphere of this place.

I had never heard of Sweet Treet until someone suggested it as a great spot for a quick breakfast. It’s conveniently located at the corner of Market Street and Wyoming Avenue (Route 11) in Kingston, right across from Walgreens. I've only tried their breakfast, and I'm glad I did. For a reasonable price, you can enjoy two eggs, hash browns, and toast. If you want, you can add bacon and a drink for just a few dollars more. The owner makes his own hot sauce and salt, both of which complement the hash browns perfectly. The hot sauce has excellent flavor with a nice kick to it. Please note, it's primarily a bar and is open until early afternoon, but I won't specify hours as they may change. One tip I would give is to be aware that if you're not a Pittsburgh Steelers fan, you might feel out of place; the walls are adorned with Steelers memorabilia. Luckily, I’m a fan, so I felt right at home!

This is the best breakfast spot around. The food is absolutely delicious, and the staff is friendly and inviting. And I have to mention, her hot sauce is legendary—definitely one of my favorite sauces in the world. Whenever I leave the area, I always make sure to stock up on it.

I love going to Sweet Treet! I alternate between my children and grandchildren when we go... I enjoy the family atmosphere and the girls that are waiting on you really make it all the more enjoyable! I have been going on and off now for more than 25 years! The price of breakfast is affordable and it makes up for a bit of the pinch of a gallon of gas... Thank you all so much for continuing the marvelous service and the FABULOUS FOOD! I love my family time with all of you!
