Jack’s Coastguard - Killorglin

I had a fantastic experience at this restaurant. It is cozy and spacious, with a stunning view of the garden, sea, and mountains. The atmosphere was perfect for conversation at our table. The food was delicious and served in generous portions. The standout dishes were the ham hock starter and the crispy skin salmon with fresh samphire. They were reminiscent of high-end dining, but at a very reasonable price of €29 for a 2-course meal. We will definitely be returning in the future.

The restaurant offered stunning sunset views, scrumptious food (we tried the oysters and cod), and our waitress Claire provided excellent service with a smile. The front of the restaurant had a cozy pub feel, while the back area had a more elegant ambiance. Despite being classified as fine dining, the atmosphere was laid-back and casual. Some patrons were dressed up, while others were in jeans and sneakers.

I made a reservation for a Saturday evening and despite a wedding taking place, it didn't cause any issues. We were seated at a lovely table by the window with a beautiful view, while JP played the piano. The food was amazing, with my husband enjoying the Black Sole and I had a main course of Tempura Prawns. One of our party members had dietary restrictions, which Jacks accommodated perfectly. The food was excellent and the setting was perfect.

The menu offered an array of delightful choices, and the food itself was exquisite. To top it off, the beautiful live music in the background enhanced the overall ambiance of the evening. We wholeheartedly recommend Jack's Coastguard Restaurant; it's a place where guests can dine with confidence knowing that safety guidelines are taken seriously. We would rate it an eleven out of ten!

I've visited this restaurant multiple times, and the food is exceptional. The staff are genuinely friendly, making the experience even better. It's definitely worth a visit—you won't be disappointed! Plus, it offers great value for the quality you receive.
