Clashganny House - Kilkenny

The restaurant is housed in a breathtaking building. The food was exceptional, with options available for vegetarians and vegans in our group. The atmosphere was delightful. I would highly recommend this restaurant to anyone in the area. I couldn't find any faults with it!

Clashganny is a charming restaurant located near the river, with a beautiful stone building that creates a great atmosphere for a night out. It is just a short distance from where we live, but it is definitely worth the drive from farther away. The restaurant is divided into different rooms, and we were seated in a cozy room to the left of the entrance. My American grandniece suggested we have dinner here, as my husband prefers simple meals. The menu may not be extensive, but it offers enough options to satisfy most diners. We started with the goats' cheese and fish cake, both of which were delicious. For our mains, I had the sea bass and she had the pork belly, both of which were excellent and came with a side of vegetables and potatoes. Dessert was a must, with her indulging in the crème brûlée and me opting for the ice cream. We overheard nearby diners praising the cheese board as well. Overall, I highly recommend Clashganny to anyone looking for a fantastic dining experience.

The food, service, atmosphere, and location at this restaurant are all wonderful. The menu offers a great variety of options, and the quality of the food and wine is excellent. This place is a hidden gem in the Carlow countryside and comes highly recommended.

Always such a fabulous experience dinner or lunch, we were so lucky with Weather for Sunday lunch on one occasion and sat outside...the setting inside or outside is just spectacular, a special treat.. The serice , and food is always to a very high standard .... Only wish we could visit more often We done to all in Clashganny, will be back very soon

Wonderful Gluten free dining. Had a great meal here last night, lovely cocktail, lots of GF options , heavenly chocolate raspberry fondant! Great service Will definitely be back
