Y Pupuseria Los Veliz - Key West

This cafe is THE go-to if you want authentic Cuban food in Key West. Small, family-run, with amazing service and even better food. The mango juice was my favorite by far, and I will definitely visit again the next time I go to the keys.

Everything is amazing here. We stopped for lunch and I got the roast pork lunch platter and it comes with beans, rice, and sweet plantains. Wow. The pork was Soo good, like unbelievably delicious and the beans were just as good. The service is quick and both people that I saw were very very nice. Lastly and arguably the most important part was the coffee. One of the guys inside gave us a taste of their espresso and wow again it was delicious and perfect. I definitely wouldrecommend to anyone in the keys.

A newcomer and placed in a strip mall but I can see this spot becoming a staple. Service is friendly and warm, even during a lunch rush which is filled with locals on their lunch breaks. Good sign when you see a line of work people gathered around one spot. Atmosphere is authentic, not necessarily catering to the tourist ideal but not in any way unwelcoming. Food is reasonably priced by key west standards and portions are good and filling. Coffee is strong and good,staff seem like family and are very courteous. And the food is GOOD. I have had their Cuban mix, a breakfast sandwich and the ropa vieja lunch plate. The ropa vieja is some of the best that didn't come out of my grandma's kitchen. Thesandwiches are also very good. Highly recommended for locals and tourists alike. A great addition to town.
