Hawkeye - Keokuk

If you can only order one thing, make it the breaded tenderloin!! We live 8 hours away but get one every time we are there. Big does not do it justice. You have to experience this to understand. The staff is so kind and friendly. We went two nights in arow and our server from the first night, popped into our section to give a friendly hi! How are you tonight!!

Service was great, but the food left something to be desired. Half my pasta was so hard I couldn't even attempt to eat it. Also, charging $4 a glass for sparkling water??? Thats some insane markup! Wow.

Visited 9/1 while in the area for a mini cation. Hawkeye was highly recommended by a co worker, and didn't disappoint. Sarah, our server, was friendly, knowledgeable personable. The food appetizer combo, steak, pork chops, Wisconsin cheese soup andbacon wrapped asparagus were divine! Our after dinner drinks strawberry margarita a dirty monkey were delicious. It was awonderful, relaxing birthday meal for my husband. Would recommend to anyone visiting the Keokuk area!

Decent place with friendly staff and lot of verity on their menu. The food I had was pretty average all around, but to be fair I didn?t try any steak! I do like that they have a bar to sit at and non-alcoholic beers available. I ordered the chickenalfredo pasta, and it was alright. It wasn?t the best alfredo sauce I?ve ever had, but for it being homemade it could definitelyuse some work or a little seasoning. The chicken was pretty average too; it could?ve been grilled a little more and seasoned,but it wasn?t terrible. I?d like to come back and have a steak some evening in the future!

Best steak around! Blacked with blue cheese was amazing!!! Everything was cooked to perfection. We got our food in a timely manner, everything was fresh and the service was very friendly. We are here two nights in a row because it was that good whiletraveling. I recommend the stake, cheese soup, mashed potatoes, ribs, and bread pudding. Worth every penny!!!
