Lovely course and reasonably priced for visitors. Walkers beware it is very hilly in spots!

Very pleasant parkland course and beautiful new clubhouse.

Not especially difficult course, some uphills on the early holes, one dog-leg and a fair bit of forest. Tricky uphill 220 yard par 3 with raised green. Very pleasant place to play. What makes it special is the attitude of the course staff and local players. Greens are cleared of dew before the first starters, locals give advice on the course. After we finished we went to go into the bar straight off the course, but we’re stopped. Very disappointed it was another stuffy golf club (Ballybunion! where you had to change to get a drink. But no, just take the spikes off and come on in your socks. Lovely!

Played kenmare open singles, last time, I played it about 5 years ago, with a crater that would knock a rhino. today was a sober experience, the newly built clubhouse is a great addition to the club, not the longest courses, but we are maintained and some of the most beautiful greens that roll true and fast, well worth a visit, beautiful layout
