The Strawberry Field - Killarney

My husband and I actually stumbled upon this place accidentally when we first started dating, and he took me back here just recently after celebrating our 1 year wedding anniversary. It's so serene here, with gorgeous views of the ring of Kerry, lovely music playing in the garden, it just kind of feels like a dream! This time around, we took our dog, Cooper, who loved all the attention from staff. Staff were very friendly and attentive, even though we were the only people sitting outside on this day. Food was delicious also! Will be back!

The Strawberry Field is located down a minor road just off the main road at Moll’s Gap and is well worth the small detour. There is a very pleasant outdoor dining area as well as tables inside. Water and glasses arrived at our table as soon as we sat down (always good in my opinion). We ordered pancakes, both savoury and sweet. I had the bacon, mozzarella, leek and rocket with home made pesto on the side. It was delicious. Coffee and tea was also good. Not too busy so service was quick. Nice small selection of art and craft items also for sale. Would recommend

Amazing pancake . We had to wait a bit but staff were very friendly gave us a buzzer , the owner then seated us quickly. Simone the lovely waitress took our order and recommended which pancake was the best. She was friendly and delivered the food with a smile . Even though they were busy they made sure the service was top class

We had a fabulous family brunch here recently. The kids got sweet pancakes and myself and my husband got savoury ones and we had clear plates all round. The coffee was the best we had on that holiday and we finished off with a sundae and apple pie to share. Although I'll warn you the apple pie comes with a lot of cinnamon so if you're not mad on cinnamon avoid it (I love it so was very happy) the sundae was huge and delicious. 10/10 would and have recommended to friends. Prices were in line with other cafés and the setting itself was beautiful even on a rainy day I can only imagine how stunning the outside area is when the sun is shining.
