Lakeside Manor - Kells

Stayed for a wedding this weekend and end up staying a second night me and my partner I was really surprised the weekend but little sad that I did not have me kids with me to enjoy this beautiful hotel and location. the staff very friendly and the the receptionist very welcoming and informative. I thought the food was amazing and rooms were lovely especially the lake view to wake up to in the morning time. I look forward to coming back soon but this time with the kids. thanks again for the hospitality. highly recommend this to my friends for a break.

We had a lovely Sunday meal with a couple of drinks @thelakesidemanor hotel. The staff were very good even though they were very busy. Lots of people swimming and boating. The car park was full and the Garda had to ask people not to park on the main road. After we finished we paid our bill but when I checked the bill later on we were over charged for drinks we did not get. A bit disappointed by this I'm afraid. I guess I should have checked the bill there and then but had expected it to be correct...

We were there for a family function. Not my first time to have substandard and overpriced food in this hotel. The salmon was tasteless and bland, Sauce was the same heavy mushroom sauce as in vol-u-vonts and it arrived cold

Stayed for 1 night for a nearby wedding and there are definite improvements needed to restore the hotel. We had no hot water, hair dryer non-functioning, ironing board broken (had to prop against a chair to use it). Fire alarm going off several times in the night (not the hotels fault mind, that would be a guest). And beds not very comfortable. Overall not a great night. positive things: the breakfast in the morning was okay, limited for vegans so asked for beans, toast and mushrooms. Was given egg too but obviously couldn’t eat that. They did have almond milk for tea though which was nice. There was also free parking.

Once again this is how you run a business. Good staff. Like a Swiss watch. Nothing to much for all of the staff. From ordering a cab to tweaking your breakfast AAA. Johnho. Par De excellance and a true gentleman . If could give it 6 stats I would . We will be back .
