Absolutely worth every penny! I find myself thinking about the shave ice from this place at least once a week. It's definitely going to be one of my first stops on the island when I return. So delicious!

Wow! We've been visiting Kauai for 15 years, and this was our first time trying shave ice. It was amazing! They use fresh mango and coconut, not any artificial syrup! I can’t imagine trying anything else now. This is a must-try!

Firstly, their shave ice was incredible! My family and I have sampled nearly every shave ice spot on Kauai, and this one tops them all. They offered a wide variety of unique flavors! And did I mention how affordable it was? Overall, this was an excellent shave ice experience, and I would highly recommend it.

Presentation plays a huge role in those first impressions because, within minutes, that beautiful mountain of sweet, icy delight quickly becomes a melted mess, no matter how beautifully it was assembled. Depending on your taste, you might be either drooling in anticipation or simply very eager to indulge in those sugary bites. I was definitely in the latter camp at Shave Ice By The Bay, primarily because the portion size was absolutely massive. Don't get me wrong, I managed to finish it, but I typically prefer indulgence only when it comes to beer, pho, or steak—so I felt just a bit overwhelmed. They offered a wide range of flavor options and crafted a solid acai bowl. I would definitely go back, but I must warn you: be prepared for a brain freeze!
