Trimana Metro Cafe

Metro Café (Boston) was one of our stops on the recent New England road trip I took with my wife and 1-year old son We needed a quick bite and I saw this on Google Maps so we walked over. HOLY. OPTIONS. The place is laid out like a huge cafeteria style deli with a big salad bar in the middle. You go up to the counter of your choice, order, they mark it up, and you pay on your way out. There were about ten different things I wanted to get but eventually I ordered a cold Seafood Salad sandwich that was absolutely ridiculous. I’m talking packed with meat! (I added a chipotle mayo as well). I got a PB J for my son and my wife made her own salad (priced by weight). I thought the price was pretty reasonable and it was super quick. The salad bar had a plethora of options and the employees there were friendly and answered my wife’s questions. I can’t recommend this place more for a quick and delicious bite to eat – I wish they had these in Western Pennsylvania!

I go here at least twice per week. Even though the lines look long at lunchtime it goes fairly quickly. Love the chicken salad and meatball sub.

I have been dining at metro for the last 12 years and they have a number of options for just about anyone. You will walk out of there with a good meal but it is a bit on the pricey side but relative to what you might pay for food on this side of town.

There are few cheap eats in Fort Point but this is pretty good and unexpected. In addition to many stations (hot and cold sandwich, grain bowls, soups, hot meals), they have a great self serve salad bar with all the basics. Bonus very fast line at lunchtime.

It gets bust but the staff keeps things rolling efficiently. You won't wait as long as it looks like you will. Great beverage selection and they'll make any sandwich. They tend to put carrots on everything so if you don't want carrots on your BLT tell them so...
