The Sequestered Chef

It’s been one of those weeks. You know the kind. Your running behind on everything and another day has just gotten away from you. Problem is, it’s a very special day today. It’s your wife’s birthday and you just have to make it special. Even during this time when we’re all staying at home. We can’t have a nice dinner at a restaurant and no time to plan a menu for take out. WHAT TO DO? I called my ace in the hole, The Sequestered Chef and said “just surprise us”. WOW did he come through. Some things were not even on his regular menu!. It was all amazing. Special salad, brisket, mashed potatoes with a hint of horseradish, amazing glazed carrots and a special desert. Chef Alex comes to the rescue once again. Maybe he should be made into a super hero!!!

This has been my go-to place for special occasions during this strange Covid year. I am so glad to know about it and always enjoy the food and the generous portions that they provide. I also have a lot of special requests and they always Pay close attention to them. Highly recommended!

What a great way to end the year. Amazing food flavors enjoyed from the comfort and social distance of our home. From the first bite into the seared ahi to the final bite of the tart and everything in between. We can’t say enough good things about the quality AND quantity of the meal we shared for our New Year’s Eve. Thank you Chef Alex and Liz!

We ordered the Hanukkah dinner. I order 2 proteins because we are a picky group. Dinner was absolutely amazing. My girlfriend joined us had never had a knish before. Her head almost exploded. She said the dinner overall was the best food she had had in ages. I had to agree. The whole roasted chicken was divine. While it has been months since I have been able to dine out who knows when we will feel comfortable doing that again. This was the next best thing; gourmet food in your own home.
