My wife and I eat out for business and date night dinners several nights a week. Fig Olive is always an option in our consideration set. We love the environment and the location, but each time we have gone there something is off with the service and the food is just not that good or distinctive. Interestingly enough, I proposed to my wife right outside this restaurant four years ago and we have tried to go back to it on special occasions. We had not been to the restaurant in a while, but we decided to go there last Saturday night to celebrate our fourth year anniversary. As soon as my wife and I arrived we both asked ourselves: Why don 't we come to this restaurant more often? But it didn 't take us that long to remember why: It was our anniversary night, which they knew ahead about, but they sat us in the noisy bar section. And honest to goodness nobody came by to offer us a menu or drinks for about 20 minutes. When the waiter did come to the table, there was no apology and barely any eye contact. I ordered the salmon, which came out greasy and was really not a good cut of fish. The appetizers were mediocre at best. And even though it was our anniversary, after the less than stellar meal, we decided not to stick around to find out how disappointing the desserts were going to be. We had enough. My wife and I also decided that night that we have given this restaurant enough trials and enough hall passes at least 8 times to realize that it is just not that good of a restaurant, particularly when you consider how many incredibly distinctive, delicious and high level of service restaurants there are in LA. However, despite our disappointment, the restaurant appears to be doing great, which I guess is probably part of the problem. Why change when you don 't have to? But they 're not getting our dollars or special occasions anymore.

VERY NOISY. Food was good. Service is above average. If only it can be a little more quiet, would be 5 star. Will come back another time, maybe a weekday.

It was a large birthday party for over 500 people there were two food stations. Parking was difficult on a Sunday due to the farmers market. It was packed inside and thus service was slowed to a crawl.

Food is delicious! Terrific service. It has the ambiance of being in Vegas inside the Belagio. Our table got several courses that had been picked for us along with wine pairing. Some of the food just melted in your mouth. Such a delightful experience.
