Sweet Journey Soft Serve - Kailua Kona

Vegan ice cream. Flavors are limited but good, especially the chocolate. Servings are large.

Phenomenal ice cream. Wonderful service too. Highly recommend the sundae. You can try samples. I wish they sold a sampler platter with a little bit of each, though you can probably ask them to put a little of each flavor in your ice cream.The lines here can get a bit long but they go through them so quickly. Macadamia nut soft serve with a focus on local and organic ingredients.... what could be better? So delicious!Vegetarian options: All vegetarian and vegan. Great plant-based soft serve!

The staff are uninformed of the ingredients that are in the soft serve and rude about their ignorance. I have a severe nut allergy, and after calling and asking at the store with the staff that it was safe to eat, I had a reaction to Macademia Nut soft serve. Their story went from “this is made with macadamia nut“ to “coconut” once they learned that a customer might leave at the risk of getting sick. Sweet Journey Soft Serve acted like my concern was a joke instead of a life threatening allergy…

So good! The texture is super creamy and some of the best plant based ice cream I've ever had. I tried the Vanilla, which was very good but got the Pink Aloha the two times I went on my trip. It isn't a flavor you'll find elsewhere and it's refreshing on a hot day. The employees are super nice and will let you sample flavors before you choose. I've been to many places in Kona on my two week trip Sweet Journey and their restaurant next door, Journey Cafe, were definitely some of my faves. It's farm to table and healthy, so if that's not your jam, it's not your jam. But if it is, they do it so incredibly well.

The best ice cream in town! You will be amazed how delicious their mac nut soft serve is. Just tried the blueberry ube flavor in a keiki sundae (pictured), and I think I have a new favorite. ?
