Magics Beach Grill - Kailua Kona

We visited for an early dinner before heading to watch the sunset at Magic Sands Beach, which is just next door. The food was fantastic and the portions were quite generous. Our server, Madeline (or Maddy?), was incredibly friendly and attentive. We were sitting on the patio and requested to lower the shade since the sun was quite intense. One of the staff members actually climbed up on a chair and worked hard to manually bring the shade down because the mechanism was broken. We truly appreciated how the servers went above and beyond to take care of us!

We started with the ulu wedges, which were absolutely delicious, especially paired with the tasty umami aioli. I ordered the vegan curry, which was a generous portion full of flavor—I just wish they had a smaller, less expensive option. My husband enjoyed his fish tacos, though he noted that the avocado on them was quite brown. Overall, I would definitely recommend this place!

The atmosphere was wonderful. We really enjoyed the view of the body surfers at Magic's Beach from the deck. The food was delicious, the drinks were delightful and flavorful, and the service was outstanding! I highly recommend it!

Went to the beach shack for breakfast prior to a hike, as the main restaurant opens at 11am. Burritos are big and tasty not much variety to them. Got the bacon breakfast burrito, big island açaí bowl, iced ube coffee and iced Mac nut coffee. Overall pretty good. However kinda pricey. Spent 50 on everything. Employees were very nice and friendly and got the orders out quickly. It's a beach shake so it's very much no shirt full service kinda deal ambiance is spot on for island beach vibes. Killer views. Can't go wrong.
