Most of the place was closed off due to covid, which is nothing new in Hawaii. No restrooms, limited seating. As for food, I got the Wok seared steak and shrimp, and almost every piece of steak was chewy/rubbery, which was unpleasant. Otherwise, the bowl with fried rice was good. It was a very loud environment--things were crashing in the kitchen and it echoes loudly inside. But overall, not too bad.
I'm Chinese and was impressed. I always get nervous eating Chinese fast food places outside my hometown. But it tasted better than expected. I was happy they had tofu.
Delicious food! Everything was fresh, with a wide variety of options. The service was quick and friendly! Thank you for enhancing our vacation experience!
My favorite dish on your menu has always been the famous Orange Chicken. What has happened?? I frequently visit The Big Island from Oregon, and during my recent trip, I dined at Panda in Oregon, where I had the Orange Chicken. Unfortunately, it was DRY!!! I asked one of the servers if I could get some extra sauce or a saucier version of the chicken, and she informed me that it now comes that way. I just ordered it again from your Kona location, and it’s the same?? DRY!!!! The orange flavor is barely detectable!!! I’m so disappointed. Have you changed the recipe for your wonderful sauce??? Do I need to buy a bottle at the grocery store and bring it with me to Panda??? Please bring back the original recipe!!! Please!!!!
The food is consistently fresh; while it may not be traditional Chinese cuisine, it's still quite enjoyable.
