Mugg And Bean - Johannesburg

I was here with my partner for their birthday brunch . <br/ <br/ We were working on a really tight schedule ,so we had to gobble our food and get going . I love the setup of the place ,very small and cosy . The best area is the downstairs seating area ,although I must say the tables are a bit too close to one another . I was back to back with the person behind me .<br/ <br/ To order I had the South African Farm breakfast and a passion fruit and lemonade . My oh my ,what a filling meal . I loved the sticky and sweet bacon especially . It wasn’t overkill on the sweetness ,most places don’t get this right . <br/ <br/ It was quite busy and I appreciate our waiter trying her best to make sure our order got to us ASAP . <br/ <br/ A great and cosy spot !

Mugg &Bean is a nice place, the food is great. I would recommend it for breakfast and lunch. I love the chicken and mayo sandwich it tastes amazing.

I keep raving about this breakfast dish from Mugg Bean called the Croque Madam.I think everyone should try it out,it 's scrumptious,the different textures and flavours really go well together.I also had the matcha green tea and now I 'm obsessed with matcha powder lol.The service was also great and the atmosphere at this Mugg Bean really has that 'feel at home 'factor.

I went to Mugg Bean about a week ago. I've never been a breakfast person because I can never wake up in time. I love that Mugg Bean has an all day breakfast. It means I can sleep in and still get the breakfast I want. The staff is always friendly and greets me with a smile. The restaurant itself has a warm family like vibe to it. Makes you want to sit there for hours even after you have finished eating. When I went I was craving something chocolatey so I ordered 3 chocolate chip flapjacks and an apple juice. The flapjacks were so delicious. I experienced a problem with one of them and I tried to address it with the waitress she called the manager and the manager was very professional, helpful and friendly. She sorted out my problem immediately with a smile on her face. That's what I love about this place, they know how to treat customers and have procedures in place if a customer is unhappy about something. Can't wait to go back!

I read some of the other reviews and luckily my experience wasn't as bad. Service from our waiter was good, but we did wait quite long for our breakfast.<br/ <br/ I had the Californian omelette with rye bread, and it was actually very tasty! The rye toast was a bit overdone though, so it was quite hard. <br/ <br/ I think they are a bit expensive for what you get, but it wasn't a bad meal.
