Franco's Pizzeria Trattoria

Located inside of Parkview centre is Francos,I was in area and decided to pop by .Managed to get a table . The Diavolo pizza was chosen ,good pizza .

Unknown to me Franco’s has been around since 1986 , and I only stumbled upon this lovely restaurant recently ! I decided to visit on the weekend and thank God I made a reservation as the restaurant was full and bustling with a great cosy atmosphere. Being my first visit we decided to try the popular pizzas ! Whilst I certainly won’t rate it as the best in town it’s definitely up there.. Clay oven pizzas at its best ! If I have to criticise, I found toppings could be a tad on the light side to really do it justice. On to the deserts and this is where I felt we hit a homerun . Without doubt the chocolate brownies I tasted was the best in Johannesburg, moist and bursting with chock; before you could blink it was a distant sweet memory. Equally good was the Tiramisu which hit the sweet spot nicely ! And to think this was all made in house ... WOW ! As for service , despite being busy our waitress was great and attentive ! On whole a very pleasant experience and I will definitely be back !

And book a table at this restaurant!!!<br/ <br/ You won’t regret it!!!

We’ve had this place on our radar for a while and I’ve read the reviews and always wonder if people are really honest, because often we find that when we go to a place we can’t rate it as highly. BUT, we give this place a 5! The most faultless service, food and ambience. The beef ragu and salmon and cream cheese ravioli were out of this world. Not to mention the semi-freddo with Bar-One sauce. Personalised service. Too special and rare these days. Wow!! Thank you. We can’t wait to come back!

Great food, great atmosphere. Franco works a tight shift himself together with the help of Massimo. The wine list is not great, but you can byo. A no frills restaurant but a definite place to keep going back.
