Mario's Mineshaft Restaurant and Bar

We have been waiting for our food for an hour and a half now. Several other tables have cancelled their orders and left, but we are choosing to stay and wait.

You can't say you've truly experienced the snow in New South Wales until you've indulged in a hefty carb-filled meal at Mario's Mineshaft.

there were barely any customers in sight. The atmosphere was awkward and uncomfortable. We were seated at a dirty table near the back of the restaurant. The menu was limited and the food was mediocre at best. The prices were not worth the quality of the food. Overall, we were very disappointed with our experience at Mario's Mineshaft.

Next time I am in Jindabayne you will be my first stop whether morning, noon or evening. Such a nice place and that chimney in the middle of the restaurant makes it cosy and warm. Plenty of places to sit however the restaurant is normally full.Plenty of food options to choose from and also choices for kids. Desserts great and generous servings. I especially loved the vegetarian pizza which tasted like a genuine Italian pizza. My kids took the stake and chicken schnitzel and was more than what they could handle.We were there on a Friday evening and the place was more than half full. I can imagine how it might be on a Saturday evening.Staff friendly and the manager or probably owner is there to greet you when you enter into the place.Parking can be a bit of a hassle as you will most probably park far away. Nice walk in front of the shops though.

We arrived on a busy Saturday night and were seated. Then we waited for an hour and a half for 2 poor quality caesar salads and one fettucine marina. The caesar salad had old bacon, stale croutons and was served without egg and the fettucine was terrible. A completely bland and tasteless dish not made with fresh produce. The owner was unapologetic and stated we would still be charged for the dish. He obviously does not care a jot for whether customers return or not. Do yourself a favor and never visit this restaurant. The food is overpriced and the owners attitude a disgrace.
