Bacco Italian Restaurant - Jindabyne

Love the feel, love the food and excellent service. The Penne Chorizo was the taste....nice addition of chilli. My only suggestion is to have a few Italian wines on the list and add frozen margaritas to the range of cocktails. Well done!

We had a large group so we expected to have a bit of a wait for meals, but there really wasn't much of a drama. For entree I had the scallops and they were fabulous. Cooked perfect. For main I had the spaghetti marinara. The seafood content was beyond expectations, however the sauce wasn't fantastic. It had a strong flavour of raw garlic and was very watery. It needed a heap of Parmesan to add some flavour and texture. A also tasted the pork belly, it was devine. Tender and rich with a nice crackle top. The service was great and all our meals were served without fault. We were seated at a long table at the back of the restaurant and we were too squashed together to be comfortable, but after a few drinks into the evening I guess we all got over it.

The place has a formal restaurant area and pizzaria dine it/take away place. I was there around lunch time and managed to get a place for myself although it was the peak lunch hour. I didn't mind the food coming late as they told me upfront before I was seated that the food would take sometime. When I already sat down and ordered my food, my family decided to join me (they didn't have ski friendly weather), the hosts allowed us to move to the pizzeria area where there was space for the 3 of us. The food was amazing and worth the wait. I had the fish of the day - which was salmon, the others had pizza and pasta. We also enjoyed the yummy desserts and good coffee. The portions were generous and we liked that it had a good home cooked element to eat i.e. Not too salty and it appeared that they took great care to ensure that quality food and service. Overall, great place but be prepared to wait and be comfortable with the crowd.

Attended for a business meeting/meal. Outstanding meals all round everyone was very happy with their meals 5 stars across the board !!
