Sunwapta Falls Rocky Mountain Lodge

My fiancé and I stopped by to grab a quick lunch before heading out to Maligne Lake.

This lodge and restaurant are a decent spot for a one night stopover.

I haven't written a review for a long time but I just had to give props to this hidden gem on the side of highway 93 just off the road going to Sunwapta

We had a brilliant meal at Sunwapta. The beef was aged on site, the fish cooked to perfection and the entrees that we shared the last morsels were fought over. The customer service is outstanding for all facets here whether it be at breakfast, dinner, or accommodation! Taylors port to finish the meal and we were all in heaven.

We stayed in the motel portion, the room itself was clean, the bathroom was big for a motel. I liked the fact that the explanation of the colour and smell of the water was in the room, it answered our questions right away.It would have been nice to be informed at time of booking that the rooms have no air conditioning...a small fan placed on table wasn't exactly enough to keep cool. Our room we were placed in was right beside some other guests that partied and smoked for most of the night right outside. With this going on we were unable to open then window to allow any fresh air in. We had dinner at the restaurant was very good, but very over priced ($95.00 for my son and I). Loved the walk to the falls from the hotel!
