La Nopalera - Jacksonville

We have been loyal customers of the Kingsley Ave. restaurant for almost 20 yrs and have always had great food quickly with excellent service. We decided to give this site a try expecting the same type of service we always had gotten at the other site and man were we disappointed! All of the waitresses were texting on their phones when we came in to be seated and once at our table had to ask for water, then for straws, then for chips. Once we ordered our food we waited for almost an hour before getting up to leave. Our food showed up at our table when we were almost out the door with the waitress asking us if we wanted take out boxes (she hadn't bothered to offer us anything else up to that point). We declined the offer and left and proceeded down the street to Chick-Fil-A, where we were served quickly and well. Do yourself a favor and go to the La Napolara on Kingsley Ave...it may be a little further to go, but will be much more worth the trip!

I wasn't impressed with this new La Nop location. The service was slow and we had to hunt down our server when we wanted refills. My husbands food didn't come out at all how the server described it. They didn't do much to change the decor from Up the Creek, pretty much looked like they just took down the fish. The place was packed but we knew we would have wait on a Friday night. They said 45 minutes but it was more like 20.
